  
The Paris Hilton Podcast, one of the most highly publicized podcasts to date, is meeting with mixed reviews in the podcasting community.
The podcast, a promotion for the upcoming movie House of Wax, features Hilton and friends as she shops, parties, poses and publicizes in the days leading up to the May 6 movie opening.
At Podcast Alley, the critics have been scathing. "The Paris Hilton 'podcast' is exactly the kind of drivel that drove people to take broadcast content into their own hands in the first place."
The podcast critics as Yahoo have been equally savage. "Listening to Paris whine about her tough life promoting her new movie for 1 1/2 minutes, followed by a minute of unintelligible babble and then 2 minutes of ambient audio sure is the kind of content that's going have me running out to buy an MP3 player, download iPodder and then ignore my 3000 tunes in favor of listening to podcasts."
"Paris just wandered around with no description at all. BORING. She thought it was boring, so it was boring to us," noted Rob on Yahoo. "People are going to listen to it, especially if they've never heard a podcast before, and go 'What's the big deal?' Is that the impression that should be created of podcasting?"
