Each time a mention of a search term is found by Podscope, it can alert you. Users can create an unlimited number of alerts. with RSS integration with My Yahoo, Google and NewsGator, users don't have to revisit the Podscope site to stay on top of mentions of their search term. “Search alerts convert our unique Spoken Word Search engine into an audio/video sentry, always watching out for relevant content for our users,” said David J. Ives, president and chief executive officer of TVEyes, Inc., the company behind Podscope. Podscope is also offering their search service to podcasters that would like to offer spoken word podcast search on their sites. The search is offered as a free service by Podscope. "With Podscope SearchBox, podcasters will make their sites easier for visitors to use, making them more attractive to subscribers and first-time visitors," adds Ives. The first Web site to use the Podscope SearchBox is podCast411, a site devoted to the growing podcast phenomenon. “Adding Podscope search to my site has enhanced the visibility of my content and usability of my site,” said Rob Walch, host of podCast411. “We cover such a wide range of topics with a variety of guests. Without Podscope search, it would be difficult, if not impossible, to make it all searchable.” Podcasters can get a Podscope search at www.podscope.com/remote. It is available in three pre-designed formats for inclusion on podcasters’ Web sites. Site owners can customize the display of their site name and other options, including searching all of Podscope and/or their own Web site content. A verification routine ensures podcasters that their sites are fully indexed by Podscope – and if not – they can submit their RSS feed for indexing. Source: Podscope CommentsPost a comment |
