The six Scotsmen, Mark Hunter, Steve Hunter, Grant Mason, Tane Piper, Ewan Spence and Paul Story, produce shows featuring independent music, motor racing, the Edinburgh festival and a novel written specifically for podcasting. Their website, Scottish Podcasts, is intended to be a "destination for anyone wishing to discover the best Scotland has to offer in this new medium. " Earlier in the year, it was reported that iPods were killing the Scottish. “The Scottish Podcast Clan will only help the growth of podcasting in Scotland and the whole United Kingdom," said Radio Scotland DJ Tom Morton. " It’s great to hear different voices and opinions out there, sharing their enthusiasm, talent and ideas. British media and listeners should be aware of local talent as well as looking to the rest of the world.” "It's a pleasure to see Scottish podcasters coming together to highlight the diverse and significant talents north of the border.” said Clark Boyd, BBC technology correspondent. “This isn't just good for Scotland, or just for the United Kingdom. The creation of the Scottish Podcast Clan is good news for anyone, in any corner of the globe, who is interested in finding quality podcasts." Source: Scottish Podcast Clan CommentsPost a comment |
