Podner, an application that streamlines reformatting movies to make them video iPod ready, has been updated.
Version 1.2.1 respects aspect ration in HDV sources, improves output quality, and eliminates some sources of audio distortion.
From the release notes:
Version 1.2.1 brings several key fixes in time for your holidays. Aspect ratio in HDV sources should now be respected, and output quality from these sources is greatly improved. The audio distortion that would occur in output from sources that begin with a partial frame has been resolved, and potential for an AppleScript timeout while Podner adds each file to iTunes has been minimized by extending the timeout period to accommodate larger files.
