« New Sony Field Recorder Expensive, but Sexy | Main | Rogers Wireless and Melodeo Intro North America's First Mobile Podcast Service »PodcastSPOTS Intros Podcast Ad WizardFebruary 01, 2006PodcastSPOTS has introduced a free podcast creation and hosting solution that lets users record podcasts and publish them in a few simple clicks and earn revenue. PodcastSPOTS Wizard 2.0 is a patent-pending system built on top of Microsoft's .NET technologies. With the Wizard, podcasters can now create podcasts of any size, and use unlimited bandwidth. With the wizard, users click the Publish button after recording an episode, and a website is automatically created. To boost performance and eliminate bandwidth concerns, the Wizard integrates with the CoralCDN Network. With Coral, the first daily request to an episode is cached on a worldwide network of servers. Subsequent requests, made within 24 hours of the 1st request, can be served from the closest server on the network to the request. The wizard comes with a variety of royalty-free sound effects to choose from. There's also easy access to a database of songs from independent artists. User sites automatically list the songs added to each episode for listeners to easily buy, and podcasters share in the revenue. To earn advertising revenue, users just drag and drop a sponsor into an episode. PodcastSPOTS gives podcasters a share of all advertising revenue generated.
