California Video Podcaster Announces Shave-a-thon

While some podcasters are cutting publishing deals to help pay the bills, others are using more unusual approaches.

California vlogger Ben Avilez has announced a shave-a-thon to help him raise money to purchase a new video camera.

“I currently don’t have a camera to vlog with nor do I have the money to afford one,” writes Avilez. “So here’s the deal, I’m going to shave certain parts depending on how much you all donate cumulatively in the next 30 days (which will all go towards a new camera). ”

Burger King GarageBand Files Let You Mix it Your Way

via Axehole: Burger King has released 81MB of GarageBand files as part of its Whopperettes promotion. The Whopperettes are showgirls in food outfits that do a Busby Berkeley-esque production number in BK’s recent advertisements.

Releasing source files that can easily be remixed lets anyone with a Mac use and abuse the music in creative ways.
