YouTube is removing about 1 in 12 of its popular videos, according to stats collected by YouTomb.
YouTomb is tracking the videos because of concerns that YouTube may be pulling videos that may incorporate copyrighted material under fair use.
Currently:
223,187 YouTube videos are being monitored by YouTomb;
4,395 of these videos have been taken down because of copyright [...]

There’s been some discussion in the last few days about so-called “blogging 2.0″.
Call me blogtarded, but this “blogging 2.0″ idea seems to be missing the most basic thing that has made the growth of blogging and Internet media interesting: the Internet is unrelentingly lowering the barriers to content publishing, to the point that it is becoming trivial to publish content.

Podcamp NYC is coming up this weekend, April 25-26, at Brooklyn Polytechnic. Podcamp NYC is an unconference focused on educating participants on how to use, implement and share all kinds of new media tools including, podcasts, videocasts, blogs, Second Life, Facebook, and YouTube.
