Professional podcast training event company and publisher The Podcast Academy is “opening the vault” for a week, offering for sale a set of audio recordings of all the sessions, panels, and keynote addresses from the 2006, 2007, and 2008 New Media Expo.

The Podcast Awards has announced its slate of nominees for the 2008 Podcast Awards.
This is the fourth year of the event, which has the goal of recognizing the best podcasters, nominated and chosen by podcast fans.
Voting will open on October 23rd with voting closing November 6th, at 2359.
Founder of the Podcast Awards Todd Cochrane plans to announce the 220 shows that have made the final voting slate for the 2008 event on Sunday, October 19th at 4PM Pacific Time @ PodcastAwards.com.

Two PodCamps are coming up in October: PodCamp Pittsburgh, which is known for having the best parties in the world, and the inaugural PodCamp Hawaii.
PodCamp Pittsburgh 3 will take place on October 18 and 19, 2008, with a meet-and-greet the evening of October 17.

PodCamp Montreal, an unconference focusing on podcasts, blogs, video and social networks, will be held this weekend at UQAM’s Design Pavillion.
