The first fall standings of the Director's Cup is out, and you might be surprised where Iowa stands. Will and Ryan take a look at some of the NCAA Championship brackets, recap the Women's Cross Country Championship, and of course give their opinion on the week that was in Hawkeye Sports.
Seasons are changing in Iowa City as Will and Ryan discuss the winter sports at Iowa and have season ending wrap-ups in other sports. Plus, the guys discuss the recruiting trail as three different sports ink recruits. All this and more on From The Cheap Seats.
Will and Ryan had a fantastic show: covering the dismay thats been the Hawkeye volleyball team, the role reversals of the men's and women's golf squads, the mediocre vs. amazing finishes of the men's and women's cross-country teams, the commendable job Ron Rainey has done with the Women's soccer team, and the hopeful run the field hockey team could make at a NCAA Championship. Its a shame the show wasn't recorded....Ryan takes fault for that. Tune in next week as Will and Ryan try to repeat the great performance AND get it recorded.

Will and Ryan bring you up to date on all the sports at the University (Football not included, of course). Volleyball loses a crucial player, Women's Golf places in top 10 at Lady Northern, and Men's and Women's Tennis teams get prepared for their season openers. Will and Ryan were really excited to preview the Big Ten volleyball season, and thus the extra long show this week. Apperently we can never just have a perfect show. Last minute difficulties with the new intro/beds CD forces Will and Ryan to uses last years intro. The guys put it behind them quickly it what was an all female week in the realm of overlooked sports. The first show of the new year kicks off with a bang....well at least it did when we were live. Once again Will and Ryan experience some technical difficulties in recording the show. If you didn't catch it live you'll have to miss the first portion of the show, but don't shy away. Will and Ryan discuss the Big Ten Network launch, women's soccer, field hockey rough schedule, and volleyball's rough start.
Two field hockey members return from competition in China, more track and field records are broken, and once again Will and Ryan struggle to fit it all in to an hour long show.
The softball team continues its hot streak, baseball struggles against a powerhouse, and spring sports deal with lousy April weather. There is so much to cover that Ryan and Will barely get to mention that Steve Lickliter is joining the Hawkeye family.

It was a crazy Thursday at the University of Iowa as Steve Alford rumors swirled around campus. Will and Ryan tried to remind them that the wrestling team just crowned a national champion and that baseball and softball are off to a hot start. Ohio State is crowned Big Ten Champions, the NCAA Tournament brackets are released, and March Madness has begun. Will and Ryan give their thoughts on the Big Ten Championship game and their initial opinions on NCAA seeding.
The first day of the Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament is over and Will and Ryan have already decided they are attending next years tournament as well, hear all their thoughts on the day.
Day two of the Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament wrapped up with the best game thus far as Illinois upset Indiana in an overtime thriller. Will and Ryan weigh in with their thoughts on the day and decide what type of lozenge would be best for Illinois head coach Bruce Weber.
Iowa is ousted from the Big Ten Tournament by a much more aggressive and passionate Purdue team, Will and Ryan weigh in on the game and a look ahead to next year.
