We have now over 200 podcasts listed in our Podcast Directory for Educators, selected as suitable for use by children and young people. The very latest podcast channels represent a broad spectrum of subject areas:
- All of the archaeology news of the week, brought to you by The Archaeology Channel;
- Sample food and cooking back in time, around the world, and back to your own table with EatFeed;
- A special programme, in the form of a "letter", specifically for Gaelic learners with Roddy Maclean.
- Reviews on the most interesting recent cultural, political, and religious events throughout the Islamic world with alt.muslim review.
- What is a Jew? Conversations between a secular Jew and a Rabbi explore the repertoire of Jewish festivals.

More podcast channels have been added to the directory. The first is a relatively new podcast channel SG Show where seven year old Sam and his dad Steve - from California - talk about books, fun places for families to go, movies and creativity. The second is The Bluegrass Radio Show of homegrown Appalachian Bluegrass Music, hosted by Ewell Ferguson and his Bluegrass Kitty Cat Buster!
Another new podcast channel has been added to the directory from Media Artist Secrets. Franklin McMahon hosts the podcasts, covering a range of topics and media arts. This includes directing, photography, web, design, desktop publishing, musician, music creation, artists, animation, broadcast, movie making, film and many other types of multimedia.
As well as updating the existing listings in the directory, two more podcast channels have been added to the directory. The first is the Brain Storm preview channel with podcasts on a variety of business related topics. The second is a series of podcasts about astronomy, produced by three young professional astronomers.
