According to a new survey, the number of people watching video streamed through a browser has doubled over the past year, going from 32% a year ago to 63% today.
“Consumers are changing their online habits quickly,” says research director Michael Wolf. “Broadband speeds have continued to increase at the same time that Hollywood has decided online distribution is a legitimate monetization opportunity.”

New research shows that people are relentlessly moving from traditional media - including newspaper, radio & television - to Internet-based news sources.
In the last ten years, the percent of people getting their news from the Internet has tripled, while the radio and newspaper news audience has declined 14% and the television news audience has declined 9%!
