According to New Delhi Television (NDTV), a large Indian news and entertainment media company, urban India is jumping on the podcast bandwagon.

“The podcasting arena is very democratic. It’s open to anyone, anybody can upload podcasts to the web and people will come and listen to it. If they like it, they will leave you messages,” says Vitek Goyel, an Indian podcast listener.

The NDTV article looks at both podcasters and podcast listeners.

Aditya and Abhishek Kumar host an “indi” talk show, the Indicast.

“I was wondering why would someone take 15 minutes from their day to listen to two ordinary guys talk about ordinary things. But I was surprised when I read the messages,” says Abhishek.
