UK media company Chrysalis Radio is planning to launch a podcast production service to create tailored programs for its clients. Chrysalis Content will build on existing podcasts from clients including Honda and AOL and create content such as city travel guides and target fields like fashion and beauty.

Research conducted by Chrysalis Radio of 1,000 podcast subscribers revealed that users preferred to download podcasts at home, with many claiming to listen to the material more than once.

David Lloyd, managing director of LBC, said: “This research suggests once again a renewed appetite for talk, and confirms that people appear to source that content from trusted brands like LBC to whom podcasters remain hugely loyal.”

Paul Fairburn, managing director of digital platforms at Chrysalis, adds: “The Chrysalis Content service draws upon our wealth of experience, in both programme and commercial fields, to deliver highly engaging, branded-content specifically tailored to a client‚Äôs requirements.”Chrysalis-owned LBC stations have delivered over 1.5 million podcasts, with content including full-length entertainment and comedy shows from LBC 97.3 FM, in addition to information bulletins and archive special features.
