New Media Links For 11/11

- Idols producers creating a show just for YouTube. FremantleMedia, producer of the “Idols” reality-TV show format and soap opera “Neighbours,” has agreed a deal to produce programs to be shown exclusively on YouTube and to split revenues with the video-sharing site.
- Gizmodo has a Apple TV/Boxee tutorial. We covered BoHow to install Boxee on Apple TV recently, too – it’s a kludge, but it gets Hulu on your Apple TV.
- Video search site Blinkx is still losing money, but at least it’s making more money than it was before.
- There are huge opportunities for people that can help make sense of the Internet – 80% of UK internet users claim ‘information overload’.
- Kent Nichols talks about selling t-shirts to pay for early episodes of your Internet media project.
- Blockbuster really wants to compete with Apple & NetFlix and plans to ship an Internet video box by XMas.
